My Protagonist
My character's name is 'Ben Ameobi'. He is 23 years of age, who lives in Southern America, Mississippi during early 1900's. Throughout this period he is fighting for Black's civil rights. He is clever, persuasive to the public and can fight. His family are from Nigeria, but he was born in the USA. He is fearless and will not accept discrimination against blacks in his homeland.
Camera Shots (character wise):
Ben Ameobi will only be shown as a powerful character who is looked up to. Considering this, will mean many low shots will be used to show his size and power. This will give the aspect of superiority to his character.
Lighting:
The lighting will be fairly dull, dark and essentially negative. This is because this period is very bad for the lives of Blacks in the USA. However, towards the end of the movie, it will become brighter and more positive, as Ben Ameobi succeeds in pushing the movement of civil rights in his favour.
Sound:
The sound will vary throughout the story. It will have a mixture of diegetic and non diegetic sounds. Most sound effects will show a mixture of suffering/stress and positivity.
Setting:
The setting is in the urbanised part of Rankin in Mississippi. It is always busy with certain features which make it unique. Such as Drugs, violence and general crime. Ben Ameobi has grown up in this environment and has adapted to its issues.
