Evaluation Question 4
Evaluation Question 4:
Who would be the audience for your production?
Who would be the audience for your production?
Our media product is aimed at Teenagers / Adults. This is because of the content included and how it comes across to the audience. For example, it shows aggression from the antagonist and Elements of terrorism (the bomb), and interrogation against the protagonist.
Furthermore, we did a public survey within our audience to find out what sub genre within thillers' are most favoured (Ages between 16-20):
David Cap (18) said that his favourite movie genre was comedy thrillers. We asked him for his best film in this category of his opinion, and he said that The A Team was his favourite.
Jane Peel (16) Told us that her most preferable category is Crime Thriller. Furthermore, we questioned her on her favourite movie/s in this particular genre. She told us that the Fast and Furious series of films is her best pick.
Finally, we questioned John Hall (20). He let us know that his favourite sub genre is Romantic Thriller. He also added that she loves the movie Enemy at the Gates, as it explored the theme perfectly to his liking.

Evaluation Question 1
In what way does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions or real media products?
Titles and credits:
In our media product, we have opened it up with titles and brief credits. The titles is presented as shown below:

As you can see we have considered the colours and font very carefully. We used the website 'Da font' to select our font. It is very suitable for our thriller, considering the forms and conventions of our final product.
Also, we have included our company logo in the opening:

Again we used Da font to find our font for this title. We used final cut pro and adobe photoshop to perfect this, and fit our theme of thrilling and suspense.
Costumes:
We have carefully selected a couple of outfits to fit our characters and their roles in the story. Our Antagonist wears all black. A long coat and top-hat. The colour black reflects on his personality, as quite dark and bad.
Our Protagonist wears quite normal clothing as he is an 'undercover detective'.
Sound:
In our media product we have used various sounds and sound effects. In the opening we have slow paced, dramatic music which suits our particular thriller product, which was created using an acoustic guitar. The music and overall sound adjusts to the things on screen. For example, when the antagonist is viewed, it becomes louder and more aggressive.
